Best thing I learned from this is that The Sex Pistols and Jimmy Buffet both had their breakthrough hits in the same year.

Also, The Cars self titled and Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life both narrowly miss 1977 and they would both be at the top of my list.

Cheap trick debut I think is from 1977. Untouchable.

Then the sex pistols lp is very good, as is most of Pink Flag. The first clash Lp sounds kinda muffled, but What's my name kicks ass.

That Marquee Moon LP has pretty guitars.

Animals is my fave Floyd.
