Yep.. beat me to it. I get that they probably regret a lot of that music but it felt like revisionism.

the Elliot Smith doc on Prime Heaven Adores You (2014) was surprisingly great: surprising to me maybe because I found his twee Makeoutclub fan base at the time annoying.

You’re both probably right. I chalked the omissions up to the movie’s short length, but it’s entirely possible that, given three hours, they would’ve still not wanted to talk about re-recording the drums on their early reissues of the 70s records.
