I normally stay home and don't go out to do much of anything, really... aside from a vacation I took to Nashville two years back I literally watch TV and play drums... but tonight I decided to go out by myself.

Went to three different bars, then walked around the open college campus I used to go to 15 years ago. Walking around by yourself to different bars/restaurants is way easier when you're still in your 20's. Couldn't help but find myself feeling extremely out of place and borderline embarrassed walking into a bar alone for some reason.

Oh and I went to a place that has rock music, DIY punk bands. It was smack dab in the middle of the hood. Was afraid once I parked my car it would be broken into within seconds, as it was being eyed by several intimidating dudes who were loitering outside of abandoned businesses and staring at me as I got out of the car. Almost thankfully the place wasn't even open so I jetted the f*ck out of there.

College campus was a ghost town. I did see a single group of about 4 kids carrying around a boombox that was blasting a popular, classic techno song and carrying what looked to be cans of beer (or hard seltzer). Forcing themselves to have fun somehow. But aside from these four kids, I saw almost no one. Truly bizarre for 10 PM on a Friday night on a college campus. I expected for groups of kids to be hanging outside on these cement porches that are in front of every residence and frat house etc. ....but I saw absolutely no one aside from the boombox people.

So I sent a record to Canada via USPS on a week or so ago. I get a message from the buyer (I send tracking info) that he looked at tracking and it cleared customs in China. I'm both dumbfounded and confounded, so I check myself. Sure enough, China yesterday. What's this about anyway?
If it makes you feel any better, the last two CDs/books I've ordered off Amazon were mailed to a 100% wrong (not even similar) address than mine. I had to get on the phone with Amazon's robot response system and get replacements sent. Weird because it has never happened before.

Some of you have reached out to ask how the job is going! It's going well!

Y'know, it's still a nonprofit, even if it's a really good one, so the work can be overwhelming and the money underwhelming.

I've never been a communications and PR person before, though a lot of being in a band and having a podcast prepared me for this.

Notes from this week: The Dawgs going 4-0 has had the curious effect of making it easier for me to suss out the right wing weirdos that my predecessor followed on social media. A lot of chestbeating by people who have had less than nothing to do with this success has made it easy for me to find them in my feed. What is the connection between fascism and sports? Why do terrible people see allegiance to a winning team to be some sort of vicarious vindication?

Also, part of what funds our mission is the low-cost recording studio attached to our building. There has been a band rehearsing "Can't You See" by the Marshall Tucker Band now for no less than one hour. AN ENTIRE HOUR of "Can't You See," resplendent with YEAH YEAH YEAH, BABYs, and blooze howling.

Oh, shit, they've started it again.

Man, I'm going find that "hole in a wall" for them.

Wasn't able to take my birthday off work yesterday, so I took today. Did not even realize that Wilco had rescheduled their Portland shows from last year until this morning. Went on Craigslist and saw what seemed for all the world to be a scam, but here I am sitting front row center for a hundred bucks. Thanks, Joe from Washington State - you're the rare honest, craigslist day-of-show, too-good-to-be-true ticket seller.

Hope everyone is doing great these days... It's a little rainy here in Zagreb, that's what's going to be for the next 10 days and I absolutely love it!

This is my LD from Your Week edition. I had my gallstones removed last Wednesday. I had a surgery Wednesday at 12:00 o clock metric and was rushed out of a hospital the next day by 9:00 o clock metric.

The surgery lasted about hour and a half and I woke up going out of operating room.

This is me right after. My belly is swollen.

This was early this week, just after it all stopped hurting a lot. It was still swollen. Still is a bit around the belly button where these fuckers went out.

Don't get super fat and then don't try to lose all the weight in a short period of time. The gallbladder does not like that stuff being done to her.

All in all, I have to be on a strict diet now. I am removing the sutures tomorrow, and I have a check-up next Thursday. In a few months I should be able to eat whatever the hell I want.
Nothing major here. Just a regular EU cock. I pull it out and there is beans all over my penis. Bean shells all over my penis...

A detective phoned looking for information about the car chase/shooting/wildin' out situation I witnessed over a week ago; that's what I get for caring! I have no pertinent info to deliver tho. I was in my own world, headphones on, MBV blaring, thinking about supper. Funny, but I'd really like to help because that was some fucking bullshit.

Spend the day fixing the bathroom faucet. Homeownership!

Thought it was just the rubber washer on the hose. Replaced those. Realized it was leaking above that. Ended up having to replace the whole faucet. It's an old house and I am always scared the valves will break when I turn them, not the case. New faucet looks nice.

When I bought my house, I swapped out the aerator in the bathroom because the flow was a mere trickle. A few months later, the cheap faucet started to leak down into the vanity. It took all day to swap it out without pulling the vanity away from the wall, but it was worth it not to pay a plumber several hundred dollars.

I should probably replace the vanity, since it reeks of mildew when opened, even with a Damp-Rid jar down there.
