I haven’t listened to that album in a LONG time.

On the fence as to whether or not I should bother.

The other morning I had a quick Thunderdome session via text with a couple friends regarding Achtung Baby vs Joshua Tree. Achtung 2, JT 1.

Never listened to Sade much, in the past. But I got her first album and really like "Hang Onto Your Love." Anything to lower the temperature.

It's kind of urbane "Uptown" soul music, of the pristine variety. But it works.

It's Codeine Season.

Khruangbin.

There are things about them that I find repellant. The fucking wigs for starters. The overly groovy feel-good jam band vibe.

But they've got a great grasp of minimalism. Laura Lee really is a great, great bassist. They all make smart musical choices. The vocals are almost tossed off, like a casual afterthought. Refreshing.

Sometimes I just want to relax, ok? It's a nice sunny day. Gimme a break.
