Can anybody identify these speakers? They should be Fane, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Thinking of bidding on the amp.

442Those almost look like EV baskets, but it doesn't look like they have enough "ribs"

I will use the original in- and output transformers, but designed a PCB for the circuit. the prototype works fine, but I have a few questions, since I’m not really well versed in circuit design.
what is the trim pot P1 250K on the right side used for? and do I get this right that they are using the second half of the output transformer’s secondary as a feedback loop. also when I set the voltage according to the schematic T7 and T8 both MJE 370 transistors, get quite warm. is that ok for those transistors. this actually also was the case on the original boards.

444Goodman's historically made a number of frames with 3 support ribs, but it doesn't look like any of the models that are showing up in an image search. What's the amp?Adam_I_III wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:57 pm Can anybody identify these speakers? They should be Fane, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Thinking of bidding on the amp.

445Not exact, but very similar construction (and obviously that amp doesn't have 18"s);

446These look similar to, but aren't, Altec 417-8H. Sorry, I've got nothing.Adam_I_III wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:57 pm Can anybody identify these speakers? They should be Fane, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. Thinking of bidding on the amp.

447The buzzer box in my hallway for the front door of my building is insanely loud. I need it 50% quieter. Do I cram dampening materials in there? Replace the speaker?
Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
448No clue, but i'd just go with a lower bid if you cant be sure. That way you dont feel ripped off if you have to replace them with some Fane-alikes.Adam_I_III wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:57 pm Can anybody identify these speakers? 449Have you reached out to the seller? Responsiveness to questions also can give you a bit of confidence on how the rest of the transaction is going to go. Even if they don't know about the speakers specifically, they should be able to look for a speaker code that could be looked up.Adam_I_III wrote: Tue Nov 09, 2021 1:57 pm Can anybody identify these speakers? 450I have no idea why, but something about them makes me think "Japanese"Garth wrote: Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:20 amHave you reached out to the seller?
