I see T. Swift as the archetypical "competent" pop star; Not especially talented or brilliant but not offensively bad.

Like, if I'm driving, with the radio on, and one of her hits pops out ... I won't frown. Or smile.

There's music you love, there's music you hate and then there' the archetipycal pop music that has to exist.

For sure they work hard to make that mega superbowl shows but talent is another matter.

People were showering this 10-minute multimedia performance of "All Too Well" with effusive praise, so I sat down and watched it.

I know I'm literally decades out of her key demographic, but I really, really don't get it.
This song is fantastic but it does not hold up under triple it's own size. Call me crazy, but I think this is a calculated play for Broadway a la Waitress!

The lyrics are pretty good. The melody is okay. The arrangement is a little dull.

I like that she took an ambitious risk and broke from the format conventions.

She's written a few other things that convince me she's a respectable lyricist. She's been all over tv for this new thing and she seems like a really weird person. Like someone who's smart enough to know how to force seeming relatable, which makes her feel not relatable at all but kind of uncanny.

Fuck me, a 10 minute tuneless rehash of Natalie Imbruglias “Torn” with some fake snow.
