Should it be killed or not?
I like it.
Re: Record by Black Sabbath: Never Say Die!
3Not as good as any of the records that came before it, but it's not their worst.

6It's amazing that they got this thing off the ground considering how messed up they were at the time. The first half is super catchy, and I love it for what it is. Junior's Eyes is a peek into what Ozzy's solo stuff would end up sounding like. I am a sucker for his anthemic choruses.
The back half of the album's jazz explorations are comical.

7This.
You know how people will say stuff like, “The worst Ozzy Sabbath record is still better than 99% of everything else”? Not true. The last two Ozzy-era records are objectively terrible by any standard.

8I went back and listened to this one. There are some misses, but it's great overall. The raw guitar tone definitely holds up, and the title track is killer.

9For sure.
I think I've blocked the rest of it out of my mind though...

10Once you get past the fusion horn intro, "Swinging the Chain" (sung by Bill) isn't a bad track. It's pretty Funkadelic-esque. Sabbath may have been the funkiest white guy band.
