I think that the idea of "Sacred Cows" itself needs to be tipped. Nothing need be above critique, or dislike.

With "sacred cows" I think the implication is less that such things and people are unassailable and more that one is almosted expected to like them, within a given context, since most people there do.

Fwiw, we got our mail carrier a $50 gift card for Starbucks as a token of thanks, before Christmas, and she said something to the effect that people don't often express gratitude. Even during a pandemic. There must be a whole class of Americans who take it for granted that essential workers keep things running.
