I watched The Lost Daughter tonight, and the main theme in the score reminded me so much of Danger Mouse's Rome album from a few years ago that I'm listening to that now. I didn't find anything on the internet about the composer having been influenced by it, but I think it's pretty obvious. Or at least influenced by Danger Mouse's influences.

If you enjoyed it, do read it. The film doesn't come close to doing it justice.
I kind of got that feeling. Olivia Colman's character seemed to have a whole lot of interior monologue going on that they try to do justice with using flashbacks, but I did feel I was missing a lot of it.

I didn't know anything about the author(s) or the mystery surrounding their identity. Pretty cool.
