I think the question has been answered, but FYI Stewmac sells ready-made bridge repair plugs to essentially get a new hole without replacing the bridge:

Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
572During new years I just mainlined music docs and I ended up watching the Wilco I Am Trying to Break Your Heart documentary about the making of YHF. I am not the biggest Wilco guy, but during the movie the bass player is using an early Orange OR120 (pix only) which is not super surprising, but it looks like he is also just using an old Orange 4x12 as well. That feels wild if he is using the stock speakers. Any Wilco scholars out there know if he updated the speakers or is he just using things stock?
This is the best photo I could find. You can really see the cab too great, but it looks in the doc closer to vintage vs the 90s or newer cabs.

573Not THAT wild. Pretty much everyone was doing that in the 60's. Maybe you had the Marshall "Bass" cab with the lower frequency range 55Hz Celestions, but certainly not everyone was using those.
Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
574I have that same head! Haven't really used it much in the last 4 years though. I should probably try harder to sell it.Owen wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 10:59 am I am not the biggest Wilco guy, but during the movie the bass player is using an early Orange OR120 (pix only) which is not super surprising, but it looks like he is also just using an old Orange 4x12 as well.
Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
575Maybe I am just a coward about speakers. When I first got my OR120 I blew both 60 watt speakers in my 2x12 within 15 minutes. Granted it was a 2x12 and I used a Super Hard On that I didnt realize was dimed when I engaged it. Ever since that incident, I have been super cautious (maybe to a fault).Dr Tony Balls wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:17 amNot THAT wild. Pretty much everyone was doing that in the 60's. I guess Wilco dude isnt driving the shit out of his amp, and 4 30 watt 12" speakers. I know the OR120 sounds rad through 2x15 200 watt bass speakers, I would be scared of killing those old 12s.

576yeah and I should buy it, but lately I have drank the 50 watt marshall kool aid and never want to leave.tommy wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:22 amI have that same head! 577Me too. Me too. Between that and my Balls DC30 the OR120 never gets any love. JMP 2204 at the practice space (which I should REALLY get recapped). 1966 Princeton Reverb at home (which is probably the greatest sounding amp I've ever owned).Owen wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:56 amyeah and I should buy it, but lately I have drank the 50 watt marshall kool aid and never want to leave.tommy wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:22 amI have that same head! Re: Small questions that don't fit anywhere
578Yeah, a 60W cab with a ~100W RMS head is risky for sure. Orange documentation suggested running two 4x12s with an OR120, however that was for performing. For recording you could easily get by with one. Also they referred to their 4x12 as a "mini cab".Owen wrote: Wed Jan 05, 2022 11:53 amMaybe I am just a coward about speakers.
