I don't know this band very well but I caught them opening for something at Turner Hall a couple of years ago and.. not surprising. Sad way to go.
Re: RIP v2 - still no cure for death
212My parents took me to see Meat Loaf at the amphitheater in St. Louis when I was a teen. It was one of the first big rock shows I had ever been to. It was cool, we all enjoyed the show.
My folks saw him a few years later at the Fox Theater in STL and said it sucked, one of the worst shows they've been to.
I still like most of the first Bat Out of Hell. RIP Mr. Loaf.

"Whatever happened to that album?"
"I broke it, remember? I threw it against the wall and it like, shattered."

213The greatest singer who ever picked up the mic. RIP Loaf. Glad that the boys are together again.

Take the day off. Crack open that bottle you've been saving. He is finally dead.

216My gf and I watched Coming To America over the holidays. I made the comment that he looked old in that movie, even though he was in his 30s. RIP.

218Sad to hear how the racist was all alone when he was a dead body instead of a dead body with his family.

219Glad to hear that he's joined Ian Stuart in history's trash bin. Sad it wasn't sooner.Chud Fusk wrote: Sun Jan 23, 2022 9:11 pm GOOD RIDDANCE

220Don Wilson, rhythm guitarist, and last surviving member, of The Ventures:

A hugely influential band, one of the best to rock Fenders back in the day. Masters of clean tone/twang.
Got this great, surfy Messer Chups cover of "Enjoy the Silence" toward the end of last year which prompted me to dust off some of the Ventures stuff again. It holds up, just as well as ever.
R.I.P.
