Totally possible, though maybe a little on the utilitarian side? Not that that's a bad thing is just less exciting.
Longer delay time than a MM or longer than most delays like a MM? This is maybe possible.four_oclocker_2.2 wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 10:27 am Or a MM-style delay with a longer delay time but NO modulation?
Well now that's fun isnt it. Little simple delay with a pseudo ring mod that only affects the delays? Like a green ringer on the repeats.
1) BYOC used to offer a kit for that sorta thing called the "Armstrong Twin" I believe. Doable, but is that desirable for everyone?tommy wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 1:05 pm A few ideas:
Orange Squeezer + Green Ringer combo pedal.
2/4/6 switchable stage FET phaser ala Phase 45/90/100 but with a clean blend knob
Some sort of modulator with 2 LFOs
2) No chance on the FET phaser. FETs arent that available anymore and making a good quality FET-phaser requires matching FETs. Its a lot. Its one reason why my phasers are OTA-style, but also because I like the sound better.
3) Maybe? How do you mean? Like something switchable between two different speeds, or something with two LFOs going at once?
Not really a wet/dry blend because that wouldnt make sense with a phase shifter, but my standard phasers have an intensity control. The Yeoman Ghost wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 2:59 pm A wet/dry blend control seems like something every modulation pedal should have. And I don’t think a single one of my modulation pedals does.
Again...very utilitarian which is cool, but not so exciting.Chud Fusk wrote: Thu Jan 27, 2022 3:56 pm This sounds really boring on paper, but I am positive it would stay on the boards of the PRF longer than a wacky fuzz etc:
A buffered effect loop with a clean boost and a blend knob and a nice quiet footswitch.
I dug through my books and here's a couple of things i've thought about that could be fun, or fun places to start:
- Envelope Filter
- Harmonic Tremolo
- Vibrato
- Pseudo ring-mod
- LFO wah
- maaaaybe a sample/hold kinda thing?
