Mother of God one can burn through some cash in this neck of the woods. Even a 6k with a batter sled and nice lens and a mic etc is getting into “maybe I’ll film everything on a potato and buy a Burl B16 rig instead” territory : )Kniferide wrote: Wed Jan 19, 2022 9:26 am The BM Pocket Cinema 4k/6k render pretty great results, especially for the money. They have some strange interface things that I hear people complain about but the footage I have seen from them usually looks good. People complain about the mounting of the 4k too. The BM Raw format works great in Resolve. A friend shot some footage using an adapter and some old Bolex lenses that looked great. For the money I'm not sure you can get better. I've seen pretty good footage from the old original Pocket Cinema1080p even. and those are cheap these days used.
WF for what I hear of BM reliability.
I'm not a camera dude but work with a lot of them, they constantly say the 6K's are going to break, but none of them at work have yet. We have some URSA 12k's but I haven't seen footage yet.
Our big rig cams are some kinda Sony that costs 20 grand. All the bells and whistles. The footage looks great, but not enough to make any sense to me.
