Decided to give this one another listen after recalling the recent Pink Floyd thread.
Still not one that I envision going back to often, but fascinating as it alludes to the previous album and informs a lot of what the Floyd would do in the next 10 years.
Most of this sounds like a soundtrack to a film. Not surprising, considering the Floyd did two soundtracks shortly after this album.

Also, the other morning I put on Lungfish's Necrophones and it was way better than I remembered. Same with the first Sharon Jones LP and Tom Petty's Wildflowers. Yeah, dats right, going to bat for Tom Petty and The Clash in the same week on a Premier Rock Forum!! *ducks*

980You know that one song by Vanessa Carlton, the video where she plays the moving piano. I like it a lot, but I like everybody thought she's the one with that song. It would never cross my mind to look up anything else. But I just listened to that one song and I thought what the hell, let's have a look. This is a recent song. It's very good.
