I love quite a few of these, but it's not really a fair fight. Double Nickels has the best songs, sounds best, and maintains its quality throughout the 40+ songs.

For me, second place is a more interesting discussion. The EPs Buzz or Howl and Project: Mersh are both awesome, as is the LP What Makes a Man Start Fires?. I find it difficult to choose between the three of them.

I probably play The Politics of Time compilation the most, though (aside from Double Nickels).

There was a solid semester or two when throwing on Buzz or Howl in the car nearly every morning helped me get to class and/or work on time, it's easily the one Minutemen release I've listened to the most. It's a short n' sweet 16 minute ride, the proper songs on it all kick ass, and it has the better version of "Little Man with a Gun in His Hand".
