I think Earl Sweatshirts "Some Rap Songs" is the best thing to come out in the last 10 years.
His newest album "Sick" is very good, but very different from anything he has done before. He set a high bar with "Some Rap Songs"

The Armand Hammer album "Haram" is pretty special. I'm still picking it apart and making sense of it to go back to their older albums.

When it was released I thought the Vince Staples album "Big Fish Theory" was really unique and brave. Made me want to dance with an imaginary woman. I'm not sure how it holds up.

I like Ka.

other things come and go.

Absolutely.

Not as big a fan of Staples' new release though. Musically it's not working for me.
Agreed. Kenny Beats simply isn't bringing anything to the table for him to really play with - some of the songs sound like, it's hard to really explain but if it was just written as an acapella freestyle and music spontaneously manifested for it. It's just not interesting, which is a shame given how cool some of his other collabs have been.

It aged extremely well. After the surprise at the form and sound, the songs underneath are solid as hell.

That looks familiar to me. Like it's not what was posted but from the same interview maybe? I distinctly remember him wearing that shirt and noting how cool it was, but he was talking about different stuff -- from memory how his brother and Chuck contributed. How it all happened and came together.

He could wear that shirt a lot, however. I'd wear it everyday.

That's good thank you, but the one I am thinking of is just him and another guy on a stage, IIRC. And I think it was around an hour long.
