Oh I see I didn't notice he had a new on in 2022. S/T is the one I'm talking about that is just OK. Big Fish Theory and everything before is great. Have not listened to Ramona Park.... I like FM! too though.Happyman wrote: Wed Apr 13, 2022 11:01 pmI never really gave the self titled album from last year a chance. It's worthwhile? I didn't really like FM!

42I like that TH1RT3EN record a lot
Aesop Rockis, still a favorite

43This is OK. Funny that he's using a section of Yes's "Roundabout" for the main riff on that first track.
Some of that is...math rap!
Re: Sell me some current Hip-Hop
44Ramona Park Broke My Heart is good. Much better than Vince's s/t. Really doubling down on the blues elements lyrically but with a sort of cleaner west coast production style.
Hey look it's Sauce Walka over a Griselda beat

45I'm trying not be a cunt about music these days. "Oh you like that cool, whatever. " but it made me think about Incubus and it's impossible to say that without feeling like a cunt.enframed wrote: Thu Apr 14, 2022 11:39 amThis is OK. Someone posted this in the "what are listening to now thread" and since this seems to now just be the hip hop thread i thought it was worth re-posting.
It's incredible. Like something from a Paul Verhoeven movie.
"if you know me and you know me well our fish is gonna tip that scale."
What the fuck.

46As a big fan of the McD's filet-o-fish, I kinda wanna try that.Happyman wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 1:33 am Someone posted this in the "what are listening to now thread" and since this seems to now just be the hip hop thread i thought it was worth re-posting.

47I wish they had more of a band? I love Pharoahe Monch, he's one of the greatest ever, but the one-guitarist-and-drummer setup just sounds thin. It sounds like they're screwing around for kicks rather than putting together full songs.enframed wrote: Thu Apr 14, 2022 11:39 amThis is OK. 48I kind of like that minimalism! for me it’s one of the better approaches of doing that band/rap thing.Ace K wrote: Fri Apr 15, 2022 4:44 pmI wish they had more of a band? 49Had that weird first song stuck in my head for about two days afterwards. Just constant. it's definitely "interesting".
--------------
Liking the new Vince Staples more and more. Kind of the direction i was hoping he'd go in after Big Fish Theory.
Can't stop watching this sick freestyle

50Billy Woods. One half of armand hammer (who I never really cared for), but Billy's record gets better with every play.
