Listening to this again, earlier, with my morning coffee, sort of involuntarily wondering, why don't more people make music like this anymore? Is it "because late capitalism," or a symptom of the squeeze/anomie of the contemporary world? Certainly nothing I've made is this festive. Ditto a number of friends in music.

1128^^^ Oh hell yeah, H-GM, I've been rockin' that--at least the digital version--since about 2004. You gotta hear "I See Love Girl In Your Eyes." Caiton's one of the best to ever do it for a non-household name vintage soul artist who's mostly got by with recordings and has worked a straight job/become a family man instead of thanklessly gigging (not that he wouldn't be appreciated in several corners these days).. A golden soul voice. "I'm Gonna Love You More" is the fuckin' BOMB!
