There was an interesting and insightful documentary made on Gilbert a few years ago.

I loved Gilbert.

David Freel of Swell

I love those Swell records. They, and the band as a whole, felt oddly out of place, even at the time they were released. Slack, murky, stumbling psychedelic rock, not heavy enough to be grunge, not messy enough to be lo-fi. Well? and 41 have seen me through some tough times.

While I still don't know what to make of her art, it certainly was unique.

This so true. She was a really warm, funny, creative, who was truly a fan of music spanning many decades. One of a kind. More than a few obits online.
