13actually.. I am the ass, as I was confusing FM Nina with FM Amelia. Nina was much earlier, and pretty cool from what I recall.

16I don’t know much about her or her music, so no vote, but based on reactions here, I checked out a few of her recordings and the aforementioned press release.
What I’ve just read/heard resonates with me. Usually that might be good, but I find it making me intensely sad. Raw emotion, for sure, but something I need less of these days. Beautiful music, though.

18I saw her open for Shellac at Knitting Factory in 2000 and bought the 'Dogs' CD that night at the show.
Listening to it while stumbling home by myself in the snow is an experience I won't soon forget.
Trudging through late night unshoveled Lower East Side, falling snow in the streetlights, it was special.
