How is one able to hold such odious views, yet appreciate good music that obviously has indelible ties to leftist politics, or at the very least is appreciated by a community of which they want no part of admission. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit. Not saying they out here listening to Spray Paint, but are they? I'm sure there are an awful lot of conservative Gen Xers who know how to find quality music. I just don't get how one can like music that espouses a viewpoint yet live one's life counter to that point.

My sister is 52 and as a computer scientist she has the capability of typing (on a keyboard or a phone) much faster than she can fully process a thought.
I am sometimes guilty of this as well; the only difference being that I absolutely hate my phone and try to use it as little as possible.

During one song (My Country), she started talking about racism, voting rights, mass shootings, gun control, etc. I was sitting on a bench in the back of the park and saw a few dozen Boomers storm off while yelling at her and flipping her off. How do you not know what a 83 year old artist is all about? Also, lol at their display, no one within 20 feet could see or hear them.
