Amp cabinet wood repair

So I've been using for the past 20 years a 70's Road 18 inch cab like this one -

I love it. It sounds great with my GK head. A problem though is a couple years back I had a piece of bottom cabinet (with caster) break off. Underneath in a corner I have a hole the size of a 45. I've put new casters on from Harbor Freight matching the originals size but those can't handle the cabinet weight. It's really heavy. I've replaced broken casters more than once. It makes playing out a pain having two people carry it around instead of one person being able to roll it.

I was thinking about getting some plywood, cutting it to the cabinet bottom size/shape and attaching it as a new bottom with glue and screws. Will that affect the cabinet sound cause I really don't want to ?

Guessing handsbloodyhands means the size of the hole in a 45. So, a little bigger than a quarter.
Maybe smaller than a 45 but definitely CD area size without being round. One caster broke off with a big chunk of particle board still attached or whatever the cabinet is built from.
WHOA!!! I stand corrected. That's a huge hole.
