Man I miss threads like that.
Key characters of that time have faded away… CB, that crazy cat lady… I think PRF is a lot more chilled than 15 years ago…

However, I wouldn't lament the nineties as a kind of golden age for popular music, much as I like a number of things from then. If nothing else, that Woodstock '99 doc on Netflix was effective in driving home the point that "it's probably good we've moved beyond this somehow," huhah.
Oh no, by then shit was starting to get consolidated again ; this time into some kind of down-tuned, adidas clad, hip hop metal. Yeah, the culture represented in that documentary is horrible.

His real persona on facebook is nothing like the hell raiser he was here.
He made roasted me hard when I first started commenting and I felt really bummed out, but damn that guy was funny when he was on a roll. I spit a lot of coffee all over my desktop back then when reading some of his posts. Classic shit talker that often had a good point.

In the whole "post-Nirvana" void... and Reznor... both on topic. obviously because Steve engineered In Utero... uhhh...

At the band's commercial peak, albums such as Take Off Your Pants and Jacket and Enema sold over 14 and 15 million copies worldwide, respectively.[35][189] According to Kelefa Sanneh of The New Yorker, Blink-182 "spawned more imitators than any American rock band since Nirvana."

Musically, much easier to copy the sound of Blink in my opinion. It's tough to figure out Kurt's sense of melody.

He was like the head of the fraternity back then. It was a rite of passage to be shit-talked by him.
