A lifetime ago, back when I taught all this shit, the one genre I'd steer classes away from was horror. I still think it's the most time-dependent genre, and I've never seen a horror short that works. Even if you can somehow rock up a concept that can stew and be felt in the gut within twenty minutes (I reckon that's the absolute minimum you'd need), you're still faced with including enough narrative to care for the subject.rsmurphy wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 9:08 pm Nightmare fuel. Anxiety driver. Pure dread. Absolutely chilling. This horror short features a character who wakes-up bloodied and broken on a severe freakish curve and her attempts to survive. Deeply visceral and highly recommended.
Really interesting to me how people can have such diverse responses to the same material - I watched this one feeling nothing but boredom.
