Yes, for a competent person, which was exactly my point that this one shouldn't be allowed on the roads.

Grew up near the beach, and went to high school with many surfers. Jackass and dumb for the most part but not mean spirited.

Cyclists; I've met a lot (popular sport/hobby here in Spain, specially in the north). Nice, kind people for the most part... but also met a lot of assholes on the road.

Mountain bikers never bother me cause I don't cross paths with'em. I used to be a mountain biker and I consider myself a very cool person.

Climbers I have yet to meet one.

Here only rich people are skiers. My boss loves it and he's kinda cool.

I live in a small US city that fortunately has a somewhat robust trail system. The problem is that there aren't segregated paths/lanes for pedestrians and cyclists. So many times there is somebody wandering the path bouncing from side to side, while I say "On your left!". Most times, I have to go off trail, because they are listening to something on their ear buds. Real dumb.

Yes I hate this as well. I do ride with earbuds and music going but I also stay on the right and pass on the left. I notice on trails too that people walk slow on the left side. It seems to be lost on too many folks that "slow on the right, pass on the left" applies to all mobile situations.

Fixed your post. Obv there's plenty of utility for the automobile in rural areas but ffs if you live in town ride your bike or take the bus. I rode w/ some friends through Chicago yesterday and honestly I'd have a lot of difficulty justifying the need for a car if I lived there.
