Focus: Hocus Pocus

I came here to post this motherfucking gem:

("Focus - Hocus Pocus Live '73" on youtube in case it won't work)

I can't vote 'crap' in good conscience with that it mind, but it can be pure crapola.

Wow. Never thought I'd find myself defending the flute but here I am.

First of all, what do you mean you can't rock on the flute? YOU CAN ROCK ON ANY INSTRUMENT, better believe it bub. Florian Schneider's rapid fire chuff-chuffa-chuffa-chuffa licks on Kraftwerk's Ruckzuck is the flute equivalent of power chords.

Yes Focus. Yes War. Yes King Crimson. Yes Kraftwerk. Yes Blues Project (source of the Beastie Boys sample) Yes Mercury Rev. Yes Hawkwind (oh yeah, the flute definitely makes Hawkwind rock less). Yes Eric Dolphy. Yes Pharaoh Sanders. Yes John Coltrane. Yes Peter Gabriel. Yes John Mayall. Yes Van Der Graaf. Yes Astral Weeks and Moondance. Yes Moody Blues. Yes Traffic. Yes Heart. And yes Jethro Tull.

You can't rock on the flute? Eat this:
