Cheap, crappy, bad sound.

That keyboard has to be the worst keyboard ever made. Seriously, go to any kid's toy shop and find a toy keyboard and the keys will be better than on this thing.

Marshall, why do you only make the 1987 as a "vintage reissue" amps that is very expensive? That should be a staple, and you should make simple variations around it that will be instant classics. Fender, why the hell is the Blues Junior not just a 15 watt AB165 Bassman? Why you tryin to reinvent the wheel, dummy?
Didn’t Fender finally do a low powered 5F6 with the Bassbreaker?

All these circuits are public domain by now, right? Maybe the next smart entrepreneur move is to offer 1987, AB165 and Pics-Only heads for under a grand with sturdy PCBs and your choice of 2 6V6 or 2 6L6/EL34 - the only differences between the two output tube schemes would be the transformers and maybe a resistor or two in the bias and NFB circuits.

I mean, look at that green cable depicted in the first post. Fucking thing will tangle just by looking at it.
Angus Young has also eliminated most of his cables. I think this is a good litmus test

Yeah I havent seen schematics but I think that Bassbreaker 45 is essentially a Fender-made JTM45 or close to it, with some sort of power scaling. The others in the Bassbreaker series seem different, though.

I've done what i'm talking about many times over, but i'm a small builder. I've built a number of "BF-15" combos that are 1x12", 2xEL84 blackface circuits, and i've even done so using Blues Jr transformers when available (they're great!). I cant build em for under $1K but if one wanted to produce at that level i'm sure one could design for much lower costs in higher volumes.

Super Reverb > Twin Reverb. The sweet spot for Fender amps is between 20 and 45 watts. Pro Reverb, Vibrolux Reverb, that is where the money is tonally.

I also have petty, aesthetic beef with this abomination. It looks both too slick and too unadventurous, like a car company made it. Being fair, new guitar design is hard, and that looks like it would be a comfortable couch guitar for people with no shame.

I think you answered your own question there.

I don't know why half of Fender's amps aren't differently scaled AB165 Bassmans. Probably my favorite Fender circuit. Similarly, though, why haven't they had a basic, affordable champ, like forever? I suspect it has to do with production costs versus the availability of affordable 70s models. But that ship has largely sailed and it never stopped them from churning out Twin Reverb and Princeton Reverb reissues. It is odd that the Bassman has been so neglected except for the 4x10 models (and I find that an awkward formant).

The keyboard is a sin. I'd assume it just not have it. Though I like the sound alright for the budget model it was when it came out, and what you can get it for now. Lame that it didn't have a second oscillator is lame. The filter is not super flexible, but I like it fine but not nearly as much as I like my MS-20. I rather like the waveform mixer and the "special effects" for each shape. You need to ease off the mixer levels, however if you don't want the oscillator always overdriven. It is also an easy synth to learn the basics on.

The MiniBrute 2 solves almost all my criticisms, but is no longer a budget or super portable synth.

Hmm. I don't really think about gear if I hate it. Hmmm. Something is bound to come to mind in the shower.
