Any Andalucian worth their salt will tell you the blending period is a 'little cook', but whatever.
Gazpacho and ceviche should be considered closer to soup than cereal, IMO.

Why not though? If you go back to any of the book-standard definitions, the only agreed-upon, non-vague, no-room-for-exception component across any of the definitions is more-or-less:
"Liquid food"

By this alone, there are many food items that could technically be considered soup.

Is cereal soup? Yes. TECHNICALLY I think it is even if by convention or custom we do not consider it so (same as milk, blood, ice cream, etc).

If you think about it used as an adjective, what makes a thing more "soupy?" Adding more liquid. Therefore it seems to me that what would be more "soupy" than broth or milk in this case? Could it not stand alone as soup since it's the very thing that changes a dry pile of meat/noodles to soup? and if broth changes such a thing to soup, then wouldn't also adding milk to a dry pile turn that into soup?

Soup should not be crunchy. it may have crunchy toppings added to it, true. However, if you consider the cereal to be the crunchy topping, then you would be saying a bowl of milk is soup. A bowl of milk is not soup, and neither is cereal. Oh, what if the cereal gets soggy, is it a soup then? No, at that point it becomes gruel. Gruel is not soup either. Not Soup.
