So I see he just did a video about Low. Would it be cynical to suggest that he could have talked about his appreciation of their music at any point in the last however-many-years he's been doing his youtube thing? I'm probably just upset and projecting here.

The guy has 3M+ subscribers, so (1) he should have absolutely no need to coattail heartbreak for clicks and, paradoxically, (2) introducing even some of those followers to Low's music is undoubtedly a very good thing to come out of such a terrible tragedy.

Very sad, very conflicted, but I'm still erring towards CRAP for Beato.
"What am I gonna do with 40 subscriptions to Vibe?"

I talk disjointed music-related guff over here. You're welcome.

I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with what he does. He conducts pretty in-depth analysis on music he likes, and interviews musicians he appreciates. The interviews are often engaging as the subjects tend to open because he sticks to music. His cadre of YT acolytes are extremely annoying, though.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.

I would say that it's hard to form a strong opinion on a milquetoast boomer guy, who makes an effort to make sense of rock music from across the eras. It's pretty inconsequential programming with zero grit, which explains why he's popular. I'd prefer more of a Clint Eastwood on music...does this exist? Come to think of it, Clint used to be a big Jazzbo. I'd love to listen to him bitch and moan about the long-hairs music ruining his rare steak orr whatever. Musical conservatism, as it were.
