A thread up my alley!!

These are two off of the top of my head. I am sure there are more.

Goose Island Honker’s Ale (damn you, Anheuser-Busch!)

Dogfish Head Aprihop

EDIT: I just looked up Honker’s Ale and it looks like it might be available again?!

EDIT #2: college-aged me is still angry about Caffrey’s Irish Ale, though I seem to remember it being very similar to Boddington’s Pub Ale.

Okay, I thought of something else.

Not necessarily a beer, but a beer style.

I fucking love the Cascadian Dark Ale / Black IPA style. It was a thing for a bit and then it went away. Very upset about that.

I do quite a bit of homebrewing, and I made a Bell's Two Hearted clone in 2015, but with black malt. This was right around the peak of the CDA/BIPA craze. I called it "Black Hearted." Made it quite a few times after that.
In 2020, Bell's released their own "Black Hearted" ale. Tastes pretty similar to what I was doing. You can still find it in their variety packs.

Stillwater Classique. It went away, it came back, and now the can fucking sucks and I can't find it anywhere.

When I knew about it in the late 80s, it had transitioned into some truly awful malt liquor (with rebus puzzles under the caps!), and apparently it was contract brewed by Narragansett. Also by that time Sam Adams had taken over the brewery in Jamaica Plain, which was the first brewery tour I'd ever been to, though even then Sam Adams had outgrown the JP location and mostly just used it as a taproom.

There was another Boston beer called Brubaker that came in 16oz bottles and was most famously sold at Theater District drag bar Jacques.

Does anyone remember Glacier Bay (or maybe Arctic Bay?) - who had bottle openers built into the underside of the bottles?

Thanks for the info! I used to get into a bar with a bad fake ID. They had $1 Brubakers on certain nights. That stuff was swill. While not a Mass beer, I miss Gennessee Cream Ale.
We're headed for social anarchy when people start pissing on bookstores.
