This is a silly topic, but still: I saw Kaspar Brotzmann in Seattle many years ago, and it was one of the greatest musical performances I'll ever see. Kaspar Brotzmann is very tall, and he wore tight black jeans, a white button-down shirt open to his belly button, and big gold chains around his neck. He had two Marshall full stacks, played a left-handed Strat strung right-handed, and used one of those "classic" curled-up guitar cords. He was trying very hard to look like a musician, and he was one of the best musicians I've ever seen.
His guitar setup was a tribute to Jimi Hendrix, who also tried very hard to look like a musician. So what I am saying is that, no, I have not noticed this.
I have noticed that the majority of people who look like an artist or a musician are not great artists/musicians, but that's different. If someone's great, their effort to have a certain look is probably not going to affect their greatness.
