1725My girlfriend is taking a verbal beating on the phone from her 23-year-old son because she didn't return the mailbox key to its drawer when she brought the mail in yesterday.
She and I live at my apartment down the road a ways. He lives in the house she pays the mortgage on. She periodically brings him food, walks his dog, gets the mail. Sometimes I have to dig my nails into my forearm.

1727Anthem. My mom would play this song on piano when I was a kid. Sang it horribly, but was a gifted player.kokorodoko wrote: Sat Feb 18, 2023 5:05 pm "Lift Every Voice and Sing"

1730Have become oddly interested in this song at 40 years of age after never caring about it before. Studying it, like Rivers Cuomo.
I like this version a lot. Sounds a lot more human, mysterious and sad because of what it would lead to. Lyrics seem cooler. Sounds like the opening or closing credits to the band.
