One or two episodes from the first season I felt weren't funny or compelling and I was worried, but the season finale and season 2 so far have got me interested again. We're also watching the webisodes. (This is on HBO Max.)
That was a good show. Kinda ended abruptly during the pandemic, understandably, but was bummed.

Didn't know season 2 was out, or that there even was one.
I'm pretty sure there are 3 seasons. I'd have been super upset to invest myself in the first season and have it end that way. I need answers!
S2 and S3 are easily some of my favorite television ever, and I think the ending might just be the all time greatest ending to a TV show. Still reverberates through my head on a weekly basis! I really want to do a re-watch of the whole show, but kinda afraid it's just gonna wreck me too much.

When the Guilty Remnant pulled that stunt at the tail end of S1 it killed me. Looking forward to more soul-wreckage.

if you enjoyed Season One you're going to shit yourself on Seasons Two and Three which are each perfect in their own way.
OK so I finished the whole series, it's fucking great. I realize I had seen it before, sort of all of it.

There was a time when I was almost always falling asleep while watching films/shows on my computer and so I likely missed a good portion of many episodes. So in any given episode there was some stuff that I had seen and some I hadn't. I remembered being somewhat disappointed that it ended as a love story, but of course it would. I was not disappointed last night though.

I don't think that the original thread on the Leftovers that happened in real time w/ the series is available in the archive, but I think all of us at the time were in agreement that the first season had a killer opening episode followed by some fine, but not special television, then there is an episode that focuses on Matt which was insane and incredible, a sign of hope, then some more decent episodes and then finally the Nora which may be the best episode of television I've ever seen? from there on it does not let up. you are in for a fucking ride.
