One of the bands I’m in played at a bar in a small town east of Austin. It was packed when we got there, and empty when we finished. Haven’t cleared a room like that in years. It comes with a strange blend of victory and shame.

Been on my sick bed for the last day and a half. Thankful it's happening now and not during any expulsion from here.

We used to do the same in San Marcos at the (now gone) Triple Crown. Where were y'all?

In Elgin at the Lightnin Bar. Not recommended for loud rock bands.

So Conan and the team have decided to stop doing Radio Nope as of March 31.

Kind of bummed out, since I have listened every day from about Noon to 430 pm. I have learned a lot of new music, come to appreciate Thin Lizzy, and realize I can only take one or two Talking Heads songs in a row...

Conan, et. al -- Is there any way it could be kept going? Is it money? Its time, isnt it, you just don't have time.

I went to see Nina Nastasia live last night. Tiny crowded venue. She was so nervous. She was so incredibly brave.

One of my beard strands got lodged in my finger like a wooden splinter and I had to pull it out with tweezers.

I will make the gods of manhood sad but if there is one part of my body I would eliminate if I could it's the beard.

There's the rub. I have the optimal combination of coarse beard + sensitive skin. Even barbers have problems with it. I like the feel of a beardless face but I'm pretty much unable to shave.

There's surely some kind of epilatory cream that could tackle that, no?
