322Fine film. His latest, Enys Men, is also worth watching.Wabznazm wrote: Tue Mar 07, 2023 9:36 am Bait.

Movie I Want To Watch
323I'm not sure if this is the thread for it, but I figure if anyone could be of service it would be a cinephile. I'm searching for a film titled Nicht der Homosexuelle ist pervers, sondern die Situation, in der er lebt (t Is Not the Homosexual Who Is Perverse, But the Society in Which He Lives) directed by Rosa von Praunheim in 1971. I found it streaming on Vimeo with no subtitles and je ne comprends pas l'allemand, like I'd understand French any better
I signed up for MUBI but it ain't there. Blu-Ray on Amazon but it doesn't play on Yankee players and I don't have one anyway. Is my google-fu off? Are bit torrents still a thing? A point in the right direction is all I need. Salut.

325Had an afternoon off work and went to see 65, the dinosaur thing created by the A Quiet Place guys and starring Adam Driver. It's got holes aplenty, but I liked a lot of it and Adam Driver is game. The girl who is the second hand in the film is also good, and has a couple of moments in which she is not speaking and has to convey something that are very good. Never need to see it again, but I didn't waste my money.

Re: Movies you have watched thread.
326I would just like to say I can't believe Glass Onion got an Oscar nomination for writing, considering that the writing was absolutely fucking abysmal and the plot machinery was creaking and straining the whole time, before finally exploding in a shit-shower of ridiculousness at its deeply stupid conclusion.
I know the Oscars are bullshit, but this is a film I watched and thought "it's just a shame the writing is so bad and the plot is so stupid and not solid enough for a good murder mystery".
Nope, apparently not, apparently it's actually great writing. Once again I feel alienated by society's values.

328Thank you very much, FMs AMWT and Andyman, for pointing the way, but I wouldn't want to get either of you in the soup for circumventing the system. Your responses are very much appreciated and a big help. Salut!
