Re: Upcoming shows in Chicago
112FYI I don't think that show is Thursday as they're playing the Cactus Club that night (and I'm going). Quick search: yeah the Bottle show is Friday.

114My sisters band get to play with Sludgeworth tomorrow so that's kind of cool.

116No, Mr. C, I made an adult decision much to my chagrin! Really like the record tho.CornbratLLC wrote: Mon Apr 10, 2023 11:48 am Did you end up catching the Model/Actriz show? Blew my mind. Full house, too!

118Not in Chicago, but Chicago duo Djunah is paying Boston tonight. Interesting band that’s a little bit metal, a little bit noise. Taurus pedals! Loud women! Pretty excited for this and hopefully I don’t fall asleep and not leave the house.
Re: Upcoming shows in Chicago
119Really liked that Djunah show. I think this is the first time they played Boston. Seems like a band that should be out on bigger tours but they're still jamming econo, looks like. I imagine you Chicago folks are familiar with them?
Openers Rid of Me (Philly) were great too.
I'm also too old to be at shows that keep me up til 1 am.

Re: Upcoming shows in Chicago
120Yeah, their first drummer is an old friend/was in PRF favorites Fake Limbs. She kind of canned him in a shitty way tbh. I still listened to some of the newest one in as unbiased way possible but thought it had taken a turn for the fantasy metal (compared to the first album, which was more, erm.. Rid of Me raw). I do agree she/they have the potential to be huge, which is what they really want and I wish them luck.twelvepoint wrote: Wed Apr 19, 2023 9:52 am Really liked that Djunah show.
