101You know now that I think of it, of all the tape echos I've seen w/ touring bands, I maybe have never seen an echoplex. Is it so fiddly they aren't road-worthy? Is there a calibration that can be done upon arrival maybe?

I think one of these Pelican bad boys is a good deal for me. Just thinking a big ole' box of foam w/ the EP-3 and my SP-404 should work just fine as a carry-on.
Ditto. The fidelity & nuance of a tape echo would get lost in a live setting, imo.Frankie99 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 12:08 pm If it were me, I'd personally just find a substitute. Yeah, they're cool as shit and sound great, but it's like carting around a small fridge that only keeps your drinks cold half the time.
Yeah, and it's sounded great!
Well if you ever need to fake the funk with a BBD device in a big ol' amp top box....four_oclocker_2.2 wrote: Thu Apr 20, 2023 1:27 pmYeah, and it's sounded great!
I've had a bunch of delay pedals but none do this thing in such a great/tactile way. It seems worth it to me to bring it along for the couple gigs a year where it'll get some use.
