Emily the Criminal. Aubrey Plaza is great in it. About 90 minutes long, I recommend it.

New season of Barry dropped. I'm only two episodes in but it's looking like it might be the best season yet. It's gotten pretty dark.

Definitely. I don't think you've gotten there yet but the scene with the sand made my jaw drop.

Bupkis (Pete Davidson's new show) is pretty good. Joe Pesci kind of steals the show.

Mrs. Davis on Peacock, while suffering from a total lame-o promo campaign, is surprisingly good and surprisingly Pynchon-esque. Compared to Lodge 49, which I'd say flirted with Pynchon elements, Mrs. Davis puts his more cartoonish elements up front. I'd be surprised if he wasn't an influence.

I think we're maybe a week behind - spaced on checking it out this weekend - but, yeah, the sand scene had me all, "What?"

Really want to see that, we don't have Peacock (yet?). I *heart* Betty Gilpin.

I feel like it's worth getting Peacock for Poker Face alone...

... but also because every October they unlock their entire Universal Monsters catalog, along with the entire Psycho franchise (plus the scarier Hitchcocks that don't stream year-round), most of the Child's Play franchise (missing only one or two entries) and some other classic slashers.

They also tend to get their hands on weirdo new release things very quickly. M3gan was streaming there within weeks of its debut, Cocaine Bear was on there within a month.

Canceled NBC sitcoms get second lives there, like A.P. Bio (set in my hometown), which really got to loosen up away from terrestrial network, and the originals like the new Saved By The Bell, Bust Down (the closest thing to a US Phone Shop), Grand Crew get screwy in the best ways.

But, yes, also Poker Face. First show in a lloonngg time that made me stay home one night a week.

It'll probably happen. There's too many streaming services lately. My wife just got a one-month trial of Apple+ with some tickets she bought the other day, so we're going to be firing up Schmigadoon! and Ted Lasso here before long.
