the MILA tube mic preamp might be worth looking into as well. it used to be very well documented on GroupDIY . I have a PDF of it including the power supply and some building notes.

292That's helpful, especially in regard to the in/out transformers. Thanks! Can you send me the pdf? Curious about how they're doing the power supply....i've seen some with DC filaments vs AC, some regulated, others not.bassdriver wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 11:54 am the MILA tube mic preamp might be worth looking into as well. it used to be very well documented on GroupDIY . 299Looks great.
Question: why don't more fuzzed have bias controls? For me, going from smooth to that sputtery sound is a really useful control.

Re: Balls Effects / Balls Amplification
300There are a lot of circuits where it’s hard to implement to get that dramatic effect you get on fuzz face variants. eg, big muffs /tbmkiii family. I guess it depends on how the transistors are biased in the first place?
