That is a beauty.

On its way: land devices pedal, guitar bodies without necks, guitar neck without body, and a trip to the modification shack

I have same bass, same battleship grey color but those pick ups were kinda stinky for me sound-wise so I had a new pickup put in, just a single quarter-pounter in P config. On mine though someone broke the "ball" part of the headstock off though and it is pointy like a dang spear.

I am so sick of tuning issues, especially while working on the road. Bosses suck for bass, especially lower tunings, snarks are just terrible, my old peterson only works with external power, which is in short supply sometimes when backstage. So I got the 2 of these to solve this problem for good.

I've used a similar model for the past couple years at the shop, probably tuned 3-4,000 guitars with it- clear, simple, accurate, and good battery life.

Having a clip on tuner is great for last-second tuning, or when things are loud and you need to be sure you're not getting resonance. But most importantly, handy when you have a wireless pack plugged in, ready to go and you don't want to be unplugging things.

If you're interested in components of both, Korg makes a clip on contact mic for like 15 bucks? That way you could use your better tuner but have the silence of a snark.

I got it for experimentation and not tuning so I haven't actually tried it in this app but that's what it's actually meant for.

I like the idea- but sometimes I need to be on the other side of stage for an instrument handoff, and having a completely redundant tuner is good in case the other goes down. A lot of the guys run a strobe and a chromatic at the same time, and will also have a DI on their tuner so they can get that signal on their in-ears to make sure it is how they want it. That seems like a bit much...and makes set-up a pain. I did that w/ Steve Stevens, and don't feel like it helped.

Oh sure, I just meant the suggestion in the way of if a Snark wasn't accurate enough for your purposes but the clip part of things helps w/ the sound isolation & not having to plug the guitar itself in.
