this is going to be a borderline former FM BD answer but here's all I got from thinking through a DIY solution if the replacement isn't done aftermarket...

Anyway it's seemingly impossible to have a social media account and not have some tree-trunk-with-epoxy-poured-on-it videos inundate your feed (or at least that was my account before I deactivated)...wondered if something like that might work: make a small retaining wall with bent paper just slightly larger than the pedal itself, then pour in a shallow puddle of resin and just carefully setting the pedal in the goop?

IDK, probably more trouble than it's worth but that's all I got. I know messing w/ epoxy is nasty, messy, smelly business and buying small quantities of semi-pliable resin probably not worth the hassle.

More realistically, might be able to get it direct from Fender, seems like they do go pretty granular w/ replacement parts.

not very. Brass is much softer than steel. Especially if you're getting a new bit, you will be absolutely fine.
I have never drilled a metal snare shell but if I were, I’d support it from the back, where the drill will come out, with a block of scrap wood. I’d also use a center punch to start the hole. I’d also consider drilling a small pilot hole and finishing with a stepped “Christmas tree” bit.

Again, never drilled a metal shell but I do drill things a bunch…

This is excellent advice

One of these jawns:

Mojotone used to sell replacement covers, but stopped carrying them. I'd hate to buy a $25 aftermarket switch just to steal the cover.
Not stateside, but Tube Amp Doctor has them in the Germany. I believe they are like 2 Euros.

Otherwise maybe someone makes some on their 3D printer and sells them on Etsy?
