I would assume they're paying him to license his likeness etc rather than getting a percentage of sales.
Also, popular opinion/rumour to be in agreement that there's a production version coming in the fall without the case candy/signature etc.
I can see them doing it in a conventional box rather than the throwback enclosures (which must have been pretty spendy all things considered).

234Not hating! It's just a little over the top. Is somebody gonna do something really novel with THIS pedal and in 40 years we'll get THEIR signature version with 8 foot switches and 16 knobs? 236Interesting. It made me think of Tone Lounge guitars, which were the brainchild of Brian Swerdfeger (an ex-taylor and L6 guy). This one looks mich more hand crafted, though. Definitely a lot of hand work, and machined parts at our shop - I don't know if any of it is shopped out, maybe the tuners. Some of the colors I dig more than others

240I've gotten two of the Origin Effects all-analog preamp pedals recently.
I got the Super Vintage fake SVT to run into this little solid state bass head that I have, and I think it sounds pretty swell. It captures both the upper-end "ting" and the midrange grunt of the Ampeg tone stack, which are the first two things to go away when I try to use a SS amplifier.
It's good enough that I decided to get the Deluxe 61 and try it on guitar/baritone. It's also quite good--imbues things with the black panel Fender sound and crucially does about as good a job on the Fender tremolo as you could expect.
Their pedals are not cheap, but I like what I've heard from them so far.
