So are little portable amps getting better? I can’t tell really, but I like the idea of little solid state table top amps actually sounding decent at conversational levels. I like the idea of abandoning idea of just shrinking down traditional amp formats and just designing something with this use in mind from the ground up. Can’t really tell how good this one sounds, but it seems like it’s on the right track. Nice touch having some distortion and delay thrown in.

Also the marketing blurb refers to the XLR ends as “plug” and “socket” rather than male/female, and for like 6 seconds i wasn’t sure and now I guess I’m onboard with that terminology.

I have to imagine they can, given iphone speakers keep getting better, we should be able to build a better tiny amp.
the Quilter Micro45 rocks, I just can't think of a desktop speaker I would want to put it through.

Yeah the make those little Bluetooth portable speakers that sound okay for listening to music in the garage or kitchen. Seems like they could be voiced a little differently to make a decent tabletop amp. I looked around and apparently Joyo makes something like that, but still no idea how it really sounds.

Again, I’d like to find a little Traynor TS-10 or build something similar. I’ve even got a spare 8” speaker somewhere.

Ok this thing is really cool, like "why the hell didn't they do that before cool", I am sure I would not get a ton out of it, but in the write hands I think it could be really awesome.
It would go great with Felt Instruments Blisko stings.
