I don't play bass (but I do play baritone) (and despite not playing bass I have a bass, and one of the new (Gtr. Ctr. house brand?) "Acoustic" amps, and 2 of the new "Acoustic" cabs.)

And I don't play gigs. (The practice space is a 5000 sf. warehouse though.)

I should just sell some crap and buy the 800RB FM Nate Dort just fixed up, right? I've completely failed to talk myself out of this purchase I have no need for.
You already have a bass amp and you don't play shows, so you don't need a backup. Are you playing baritone through your existing bass amp? If that's what you plan to do with the RB, you should try it through what you have now. In my admittedly limited experience, bass amps really bad with guitar pickups, unless it's a tube Bassman or something.

The 2 other people who show up most often play guitar and drums, so I'm playing baritone through the Acoustic B200H and either a closed-back 212 or a closed back 410. Both cabs have hi-wattage guitar speakers. I wouldn't disagree that solid state bass amps aren't EQ'd with guitar pickups in mind, but the baritone I have is a 30" scale Danelectro that I put 2 "single coil" Alumitones in.

I feel like I might be missing something obvious.
You're not missing anything obvious. The best case I can make is that this 800RB has just been repaired by Nate Dort, so it'll probably be good to go for the next 10+ years. And if I can't dial in a sound I like, it won't be because the amp doesn't have any good sounds.

I should re-learn the mantra I came up with during a gear acquisition frenzy a few years ago. More gear doesn't make you a better player. More gear doesn't make the time to play it.

I’m not about to make any more major gear purchases this year, but they look so cool that I just want to hear from somebody that they suck.
This looks a lot like another "Can you give me the "Elevator Pitch..." version of why you actually need any of that stuff?..." instance.
