Despite the awful name, I am intrigued by the voodoo quality of this passive device. I’ve mostly conquered the paddleboard issues I’ve had in the past where my guitar felt like it had less dynamics, but this thing seems to guarantee a more direct interaction with the guitar and amp, allegedly, regardless of what you put in between them. But I can’t find any decent demos where anybody does a proper A/B comparison.

well it's not especially cost-prohibitive (especially for Radial) so the only TMOOI I have is generally that putting stuff on your guitar strap always seems a bad idea to me, especially if you also have a wireless x-mitter on there already. Just seems like an additional potential tangle/risk of coming unplugged/falling off, failure point, etc.

If you're just using a standard wired connection though probably just put it on the pedal board (but you'd lose quick access to the pot).

45-ish guitars at the moment (kind of scared to count) and I don't leave my house. You're all fine.

Every one of those Gretsch baritones I've picked up has been disappointing. Obviously the vibe is very different but I'm super happy with my Squier Bass VI, although it's taken some work to get there (Staytrem, real strings, etc). For a cheap B-B option, the Squier Cabronita baritone is super.

I think I have like half a dozen guitars and half a dozen basses. I used to be able to justify my owning having any guitars in that I used to have people come to my studio who had need of one. That isn't the case anymore...and my guitar playing is so awful it is likely a felony in some states. I should probably get rid of them so my wife isn't saddled w/ them when I eventually go dead. I keep thinking I have time and will come back to it and that's just fucking delusional at this point.

A good friend of mine, who already has a prodigious collection of guitars that are mostly 60s and 70s pawnshop numbers, recently inherited 150 guitars from his deceased brother. I’m not sure what I’m saying about this, other than that there is such a thing as too many guitars.

Usually in a way that's guaranteed to take at least a year to sell for 90% of what you've put into it.

I've lost money on 2 out of 25 guitars I've sold over the years. At the moment I have about 45 and only 5 of those have cost more than $500 US, most around the $200-300 range. I plan to sell a bunch but I subscribe to the "more fun way of storing money" mindset. Also I am helpless to resist anything I know is being sold for dramatically less than its value.
