Mannaggia, please give an update here after you decide which kit to use. I would love to hear the comparison of the 22 and 24 side by side.four_oclocker_2.2 wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 12:37 pmI used to be pretty content with a 22" for "rock" stuff, but more and more, I'm realizing that I either want a 24" OR a 20" depending on the gig/group. I know the 22" can do "both"...but what's the fun in that?dontfeartheringo wrote: Thu Aug 03, 2023 8:17 pmYes.flyinghouses wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2023 9:30 pm If you can only have one kick drum. Would it be the 22" or 24"?
I keep thinking about the J-M drums. I know how they sound and I have some qualms about their lack of versatility...but maybe to my above point, that's OK, and it's fine to have a "specialized" kit in that sense. I'm doing a session at EA next month and am trying to decide between my 3-ply Ludwigs or the aluminum INDe kit, but I might set up the J-M for a ride when the other dudes are tone-questing on day 1 and give 'em some more thought.
