I think “two 5’s” would more logically be expressed as 5+5. And a 10 cent dime features Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s head. That doesn’t mess up the whole thing, does it?

No, it doesn't mess it up. But the game is about Washington DC and Rome, so it's a potential link.

the game
Yes, if this is all just a little game you play to amuse/distract yourself, that's fine. I know I HAVE developed little OCD games and routines, to help me cope with anxiety and the uncertainty of life. The difference here is that I realize that's what I'm doing. I let them be little games. I don't turn them into truth. looking for number and letter combinations in license plates that make words TO ME, doesn't mean that I'm being communicated to through license plates. It's a quirk that I can enjoy and laugh about.

Let your numerology game be a game.It doesn't have to control you

Too tenuous. That’s the problem with much of this stuff. Drawing causal links where some things, at best, only coincide by happenstance, in name or number only. And even that can be a stretch.

Nonetheless, I have enjoyed the occasional work that draws connections between disparate things. And in experimental poetry or literary fiction there can be fun associative games writers play with etymology/word histories and refracted meanings. It can be done well.
