I know I got into it about the bass playing in VH before, and I admit the way I expressed it was unfortunate. However, I cannot for the fucking life of me take anything seriously, or even enjoy ironically, when it has that "dump... dump... dump... dump..." bassline. There's like, one Accept song that that bassline doesn't ruin, but it's still absolutely the worst part of that song. And Accept were a tight band, which you cannot say about VH, especially the Dave era, which is the era with riffs. I like riffs, but, "dump... dump... dump... dump..." can't fucking do it.
I dislike a lot of Zeppelin shit too, and honestly, despite being from the heyday of the album era, these were both song bands. The consistent Zeppelin albums from the very end don't have standout songs or crazy riffs, and the earlier albums with the riffs have some shocking stinkers. White reggae very much included.
No vote. Leaning hard toward LZ if my hand was forced. WF: "Jump" and "Panama" nostalgia.
