All those unskippable propaganda videos at the start of DVDs in the 90s did their job I guess, now everybody's fully on board with the corporate conception of ideas as property.
How do you mean? They even coined the term "Intellectual Property" and copyright has been around since like the 18th century. Or do you just disagree with it. That I understand. To be fair YouTube seems to have blown the doors off of fair use.

Who the fuck pays the price of a small house for a car that isn't even Italian!? If I'm paying six figures for a car it'd better have a horse or a bull or a horse fucking a bull on the hood (unless it's a commercial vehicle). I can buy a goddamned airplane for that much money, why the shit would I buy a shitty American crossover?

I'm talking about all those DVD ads in the 90s and 2000s that convinced everyone that copying movies was theft. Copyright infringement is not theft and has never been theft. It's not even a matter for criminal court. Now everybody's completely convinced that "intellectual property" is a real thing and people seem happy for it to be extended indefinitely. Intellectual "property" was only meant to be a limited license, not something you own like you own a house.
