Should I get it?

Do you want/need a 2x12? If it's got decent speakers, you're getting the cabinet for less than the cost of materials. If the speakers are missing/blown, it's a bit further from "screaming deal" territory.

Attempts to talk you out of it:
- if you don't need a 2x12, it's not a great use of $300, because:
- cabinets are much tougher to sell than guitars, amps and pedals in the same price range (part of why this is there for ~30% of what it sold for new)
- if the amp(s) you want to use with it need an 8Ω speaker load, you're limited to 16Ω speakers (or 4Ω I guess, but there are even fewer of those afaik)
- if the amp(s) you want to use with it are "full width" you're forced to choose between the dreaded T configuration, blasting your calves with the cabinet horizontal or having the amp somewhere other than on top of the cabinet

This. Cabs depreciate like diamonds and cars. Moreso, maybe. Unless it says Marshall on it, you can count on having trouble selling it for what you paid for it, if you need to. At that price. That's why it's that price.

Officially ordered. Now I can play more than twice as many wrong notes.
Good god. Hadn't logged in here in a while. How's it going with this thing??!
The neck's still being made, though I'd expect an update in the next week. I have everything else:
  • a-bit-banged-up 2010 loaded Squier Tele Deluxe body. Had to WD-40 the rusty bridge screws and really beast them to get the bridge pieces off
  • Fender Vintera wide-range humbuckers
  • Couple different bridge piece options; currently I have metric Strat/Tele-compatible pieces with rollers as the contact point
  • Bigsby B5 (not put on yet)
  • Replacement pick guard
  • vintage-style tuners with conversion bushings
With luck, I'll have the body ready to go by the end of the weekend.

[ . . . ]Honda Fit.
I was very glad to sell my Fit within a few months of buying it, about a decade ago. It's sort of supposed to do two things but does neither well: you can't actually fit very much in it, and it's not that great of a city car bc the mpg is mediocre. Catalytic converter thefts notwithstanding, been much happier with an old Prius which can still hold about as much as a Fit, and an old Sienna minivan for when what I need is a minivan.

Subarus are sturdy, but when they do have problems, they're expensive to fix and often depend on backordered parts. They all have four wheel drive, and if you don't need it, that's just added weight and complexity.

The Mrs. has a Prius C, but we don't park it in the city due to the easily stealable catalytic converter that's already been mentioned. On a similar note, apparently every Hyundia product is very easy to steal.
